E-Commerce and Internet Technologies
Good morning fellow bloggers, Sophie back again for our eighth blog of the year. Today we will be discussing E-Commerce and Internet Technologies and reviewing three online platforms that can easily be integrated into a website to help a firm engage in e-commerce. This will include a gym, a new clothing boutique and a café...let's get into it
1. The first E-Commerce platform for a new gym that I would recommend is Simplybook.me. This is a free scheduling website that enables service-based businesses to book appointments and message clients with queries on their website, booking site or on their social media platforms. I personally think that Simplebook.me is the perfect choice to use for the new gym as it will help increase the number of customers to check out the new facility using their new website. The website could include prices, membership plans, booking online section, facilities in the gym and also images of the types of facilities in it. By using Simplybook.me, it would help grab consumers attention to the gym by using their SEO.
2. In relation to the clothing boutique, I would use the online platform Square. It is a e-commerce platform allowing businesses to sell their products with a point-of-sale system and use payments online. The firm can sell unlimited products online and fulfil orders electronically. Clothing boutiques are privately owned firms and often carry higher-end locally produced and smaller batch goods from unique vendors. For that reason, I think Square is suitable for the clothing boutique due to customers will be able to pay with card as a choice and can purchase clothing online 24/7 at any time of the day. Also it saves costs for the company due to overhead costs associated with ensuring a physical location rather than using an online store.
3. Lastly in relation to the café, I think that HubSpot is a suitable platform. HubSpot is a CRM platform that is designed to scale with a firms business. It can specialise between a sole trader to a 2,000 employee enterprise. A good café shop website should be easy to navigate and provide users with relevant information to be decide to visit the café or place an order online. For that reason, I think that HubSpot is best suited and it should include aspects such as access to the menu, opening hours, how to get to the cafes location and online order options. Card options should be essential with this website also as most consumers use card transactions daily and the café would be unsuccessful without contactless card options.
