Search Engine Optimization

Image
Good morning fellow bloggers, I am back with a different type of blog this week as today we are going to be looking at how business owners can improve the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website from search engines. This can be done by using search engine optimisation (SEO). This is an important blog that I will now discuss and here are my top 10 tips that have been proven to boost website ranking. Enjoy!   1.      Create engaging and high-quality content Creating unique and interesting content that is helpful can help search engine optimisation efforts. This is because the more a business owner receives visits on their websites and optimizes their content, the higher up the site will rank on (SERP) which stands for search engine results pages. When information is assessable and simple to understand, it increases the chances of users revisiting your website.   2.      Optimise content with keywords Optimizing inf...

E-Commerce and Internet Technologies

Image
Good morning fellow bloggers, Sophie back again for our eighth blog of the year. Today we will be discussing E-Commerce and Internet Technologies and reviewing three online platforms that can easily be integrated into a website to help a firm engage in e-commerce. This will include a gym, a new clothing boutique and a cafĂ©...let's get into it 1. The first E-Commerce platform for a new gym that I would recommend is Simplybook.me. This is a free scheduling website that enables service-based businesses to book appointments and message clients with queries on their website, booking site or on their social media platforms. I personally think that Simplebook.me is the perfect choice to use for the new gym as it will help increase the number of customers to check out the new facility using their new website. The website could include prices, membership plans, booking online section,  facilities in the gym and also images of the types of facilities in it. By using Simplybook.me, it would h...

It is all about engagement!

Here is some practical advice that I personally benefit from on how to engage with visitors on a blog. When I use these tips and strategies, I find that my blogs are engaging with my readers and that it creates a connection between myself and the reader. Blog engagement refers to “the level of interaction between a reader and the creator of a blog”. It can include aspects such as comments, likes, reactions, shares and more. This can include positive and negative performance from the blog itself and how the reader felt about the blog.   1.   Clear and visually appealing design The first piece of practical advice is the most obvious in my opinion, making the blog clear and visually appealing is the key to a successful read. A reader doesn’t want to click into a blog and just be bogged down with hundreds of words on a plain page. The blogger needs to create a visually appealing layout for readers to have a clear understanding of the blog. Making titles stand out and in ...

Potential Ethical and Social Challenges of Big Data

Image
Hello fellow bloggers, Sophie here again! Today  I will discuss three Ethical and Social Challenges of Big Data which I feel are important with the usage of Big Data and how it affects consumers and companies:   The lack of experienced Professionals: The first ethical and social challenge that I will discuss is how companies fail with their Big Data by lacking inexperienced workers to run their IT systems and large data implements. Occupations for these include data analysts, engineers and data scientists that trade with the technology and have a deep understanding in huge data equipment. Companies struggle to employ workers in this industry as data handling equipment has evolved swiftly even though the professions have not evolved as swiftly. To address these challenges, companies are contributing extra money into recruiting more professionals in the Big Data industry by investing into training courses to contribute to employees in better knowledge. Companies could also...

Good morning fellow bloggers, Sophie back once again and for this week’s blog, I completed 3 short modules on Trailhead and I will summarise my learnings of the three modules below. 1.      Get to know marketing AI The first module I completed was ‘Get to know marketing AI’ which I found particularly interesting as it gave me a good insight into what marketing AI is and how it s now the number one marketing tool featuring new GPT capabilities and seems to be the future of marketing with its artificial intelligence, its capabilities include content creation, scaling AI and trust. Marketing AI gives companies trust by using its powerful tool of AI to expand marketing strategies quickly and efficiently. I really enjoyed reading the material in this module and from my knowledge with the reading, I earned 150 points from the MCQ at the end of the module. 2.      Roles and Responsibilities for Marketing Teams The second module I completed was ‘...
